About FileNectar
FileNectar is a free web service that handles nearly every file conversion you run into day to day — images, video, audio, PDF, icons, 3D models, data formats, archives, and fonts — all in one place.
Its defining feature is that every conversion runs entirely inside your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so you can convert personal photos or sensitive documents without worry — and there's nothing to install, just this page.
You can use most tools a few times a day without an account. Logging in — free — raises your daily limit, and a paid plan with even higher limits is planned for the future.
It works just as well on mobile. Use "Add to Home Screen" to install it and launch it like an app, straight from your home screen.

4. Convert
Click the convert button to start. The number beside it is how many free uses you have left today. Video, audio, text-extraction, and 3D tools download their processing engine the first time you use them, which can take a few extra seconds.
5. Download
Once conversion finishes, download the result immediately. Nothing is ever stored on a server — everything happens right here in your browser.

Which browsers are supported?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, Whale, and most modern browsers. Keeping your browser up to date gives the most reliable experience.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — every tool works the same way on a phone or tablet browser. Use "Add to Home Screen" to install it like an app.
A conversion failed or gave an error. What do I do?
Double-check the file format and size limit first. If it still fails, update your browser or refresh the page and try again.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your profile and usage history are removed immediately. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Use Wi-Fi for large files
Tools that download a processing engine (like video conversion) need an internet connection the first time. If you're working with a large video, start on Wi-Fi.
Quality vs. file size
Dropping image quality from 100% to around 85–90% is barely noticeable but shrinks the file significantly.
Square images make the best icons
Icon conversion looks cleanest starting from a square (1:1) image — crop one first with the image converter if needed.
Watermark opacity
Around 20–30% opacity keeps a PDF watermark visible without obscuring the original content.
Bookmark what you use often
Add the site to your browser bookmarks to jump straight back to it next time.
Sharper photos extract better
Text extraction is more accurate on a bright, straight-on, in-focus photo than on a blurry or angled one.
Terms of Service

1. Nature of the Service
FileNectar is a browser-based file conversion tool. All conversion processing happens locally in your browser — your files are never uploaded to, or stored on, any server.
2. Accounts
Creating an account is required to use the conversion tools. Your email, password, and display name are handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider — not stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
3. Usage Limits
The free plan includes a daily usage quota per tool, described on each tool's page and enforced on the server against your account. A paid plan with higher limits is planned for the future.
4. Acceptable Use
Do not use the Service to process files you don't have the right to process, or in any way that violates applicable law.
5. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service.
6. Changes
These Terms may change as the Service evolves. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

1. Files You Convert
Every file you convert is processed entirely inside your browser. Files are never uploaded to, or seen by, any server — we have no access to them at all.
2. Account Data
If you create an account, your email, display name, password (hashed), and daily usage counters are stored by Supabase, our authentication and database provider, not in your browser. Access to your data is restricted to your own account via database security rules. Deleting your account removes your profile and usage history permanently; your login credentials may take a short additional step to fully remove (see Terms).
3. Language Detection
To choose a default display language, the site makes a request to a third-party IP-geolocation service to guess your country. This request includes your IP address, as any web request does, but no other data is sent. You can switch languages manually at any time.
4. Third-Party Engines
Some tools (video/audio conversion, text extraction, etc.) download an open-source processing engine from this site's own server the first time you use them. No file content is sent anywhere during this download.
5. Cookies
Supabase stores a session token in your browser so you stay logged in; local storage is also used for your language preference and for a guest usage counter if you convert files without an account.
6. Advertising
This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info.
